Fariborz Tommy Razani was born in Tehran and began his musical training there as a child. For years music stayed in the background while he trained, competed and taught out of his karate dojos in Southern California.
A run of personal experiences, and a chance meeting with some of the best talents in Persian music, put him in a recording studio. That session became Nafas, his first album. Three more followed, split between Persian songwriting and English electronica.
His approach has not changed since. Work from the raw emotion of the moment, without boundaries or limitations. He believes that if you work not just with your hands and your mind but with your heart, you are creating from the highest level of awareness.
He now lives in Alaska.
